With the module’s motor built-in, it can automatically lift and shift between two extruders, enabling faster and quieter dual-extrusion 3D printing. The Snapmaker Artisan 3D printer is equipped with an enclosure that lowers the laser classification from Class 4 to Class 1. With the door-detection sensor in the enclosure, Artisan can halt the laser or CNC operation automatically in the event of any door opening. Additionally, the laser module contains a gyro sensor that prevents the emission of laser beams if the module moves away from its assigned position. Moreover, if the temperature sensor detects an excessively high temperature above 55°C/131°F, the laser module ceases to function on its own.
