Rocket League has maintained its status as one of the most successful multiplayer indie games of all time despite its recent switch to a free-to-play business model. As a result of its success and the fact that it is now owned by Epic Games, it has been given the opportunity to incorporate a variety of vehicles taken from well-known series that are found in a variety of entertainment mediums.
Rocket League allows players to compete in a game of vehicular soccer with a number of other fans of their preferred media, whether it be a movie, content game, or television show. Although it may cost a few Rocket League credits, the fact that the game is both entertaining and addicting is sufficient to warrant the expenditure.
Even though it’s an SUV, most Jurassic Park fans with only a passing familiarity with the franchise remember the Jeep Wrangler as the vehicle with the colors green, yellow, and red, despite the fact that it was in the movie. Alan Grant was the one behind the wheel of the red and gray Jeep, which is the exact same model that can be found in Rocket League.Since the main antagonist of the series, Sweet Tooth, piloted an ice cream truck, and since many fans regard him as the franchise’s official mascot, it was only fitting that a fan of his be made available to anyone who plays Rocket League on a PlayStation console.
9 – Aston Martin DB5 (007’s car from the James Bond films)
The Aston Martin DB5 is the vehicle that most likely comes to mind when people think about the James Bond 007 franchise, which has been running for a very long time. Although the Aston Martin Valhalla that is also featured in Rocket League is an iconic vehicle, it simply cannot compare to the refined and sophisticated DB5.
This automobile has been around since the year 1964, when it made its debut in the motion picture Goldfinger. In addition to that, it has made an appearance in a number of other 007 movies over the years, including Thunderball, GoldenEye, Tomorrow Never Dies, Casino Royal, Skyfall, Spectre, and No Time to Die.
8 – Hogsticker (Halo)
It was mentioned earlier that Rocket League had distributed an exclusive vehicle for each of the three major console platforms, and the Hogsticker was the vehicle that was made available for use on the Xbox platform. Simply put, this is a Warthog from the Halo series that has had a turret attached to the back of it.
It’s kind of funny, but Xbox also received the Armadillo vehicle from Gears of War for use in Rocket League. Anyone who’s ever driven a Warthog in a Halo game knows how different it is from driving any other vehicle, but thankfully, in Rocket League, the Warthog plays the same as any other vehicle in the game.
7 – Dodge Charger (Fast & Furious)
The Fast and the Furious movie franchise has been adapted into Rocket League in the form of three distinct vehicles. When discussing the aspects of Dom Toretto’s character that are essential to understanding who he is, it is difficult to avoid bringing up his Dodge Charger despite the fact that he is famous for a number of other things.
The presence that this muscle car exudes shines through whenever it is used in any of the Rocket League game modes. It shares a hitbox with the Dominus, which is something that is not important to all players, but it is something that should be noted for those who care about it.
6 – Jeep Wrangler (From Jurassic Park)
It’s a real shame that this is the case because the Jeep is just as iconic, but the colors of the truck are probably what most people think of when they think of a design that is memorable and evokes feelings of nostalgia.
5 – The Batman version of the Dark Night Tumbler
There are three distinct Batmobiles, each representing a different movie era starring the famous DC superhero. These Batmobiles can be found in Rocket League. It’s possible that the design of Batman’s tumbler featured in Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight trilogy isn’t the most iconic or well-liked iteration of the character’s look, but there’s no denying that it’s memorable.
The bulkier design does fit the aesthetic of Rocket League the most, as it feels like a car the game would release on its own. This is the case because it feels like a car the game would release. Since the tumbler has the hitbox of the Octane vehicle model, true Batman fans will probably want to own all three of them, but the hitbox of the tumbler may cause it to be the one they use the most frequently.
4 – Ecto-1 (Ghostbusters), the proton pack
It would appear that the Ghostbusters franchise is making a significant comeback, and as a result, a whole new generation of fans are falling in love with the Ecto-1. This vehicle was introduced in 2019 for Rocket League, and the only way to obtain it was to purchase the downloadable content associated with it from the Rocket League store.
It has the same hitbox as the Dominus, so it is difficult to find a car in Rocket League that is more fitting than the Ecto-1 for players who prefer that build but want to celebrate their favorite spooky movie franchise.
3 – The time-traveling DeLorean automobile from “Back to the Future”
Fans of science fiction have been and will continue to be interested in stories that involve time travel as a plot device. Even though “Avengers: Endgame” did a good job with its own ideas of time travel, it’s difficult to imagine anything doing time travel justice the way “Back to the Future” did. The majority of people who watch it end up falling in love with the characters, regardless of whether they saw it in theaters, at home on VHS, DVD, or via streaming.
Despite the fact that the manufacturer went out of business, the DeLorean remains one of the most recognizable vehicles in the history of cinema. Even though it doesn’t allow players to go back in time and retrieve a goal that they missed during a Rocket League match, it’s still a lot of fun to hit maximum boost and for a split second think something might happen when playing the game.
2 – Nissan Skyline (Fast & Furious)
After the entry that discussed Dom Toretto’s Dodge Charger, it would be a shame not to also talk about the Nissan Skyline from Fast & Furious that belonged to the character named Brian O’Conner played by the late Paul Walker. The car itself isn’t particularly flashy, but the combination of blue and silver that is used for its canon coloring really makes it stand out whenever it’s shown on screen.
It, along with the majority of the other vehicles on this list, makes random appearances in the shop, giving players the opportunity to relive their most memorable moments from the Fast Saga.
1 – 1989 Batmobile (Batman)
Although it’s possible that “Batman 1989” isn’t the most well-received Batman movie of all time, it definitely wins points for being the most beloved and nostalgic. The movie was able to win over the hearts of both people who were into comic books and general audiences thanks to the costume designs and the natural campiness of the whole thing.
When asked what the vehicle does and should look like, a whole generation’s worth of fans immediately think of the design of the Batmobile that was featured in this movie. The Batmobile can, thankfully, be located and driven in Rocket League, despite the fact that Bruce Wayne most likely would not approve of such an insignificant application for his priceless vehicle.
