Whirlpool washing machines promise the quietest spin cycle on the market, according to its much-lauded “Zen Technology.” This unique American brand of washing machines is very popular in the UK, Canada and other countries, with a huge selection of built-in, freestanding top and front-loading machines.
The Whirlpool washing machine, like any other mechanical device, will not last long without repair or replacement of parts at some point. Whirlpool washing machines, for example, have built-in fault codes that are digitally displayed when a problem is detected.
While these error codes don’t always tell you exactly what’s wrong with your washing machine or which parts need to be replaced or repaired, they can help you troubleshoot and diagnose problems.
If your washing machine displays any of these warning codes, contact Whirlpool Washing Machine Repair Service, and one of their highly qualified technicians will diagnose the problem and provide you with a repair quote.
Note: The Error codes shown here refer to Whirlpool Front Loading Washing Machines.
F01
This code will either display when the machine has come to a halt or will not run. It usually means that something is wrong with the electronic circuit board.
F02
This code appears when the motor circuit fails, and the drum does not rotate during the wash cycle.
F03
You might expect a problem with the temperature sensor if your Whirlpool washing machine fails to heat and displays this error code.
F05
This trouble code indicates a potential pump failure at worst or an obstruction in the wastewater line or in the pump filter at best. When the machine fails to drain the water and the door will not open, it is better to call a technician.
F06
This indicates a tachometer problem in the drive motor, causing the machine to shut down. It could be a loose connection, or the control board has to be replaced.
F07
This error code appears when your Whirlpool washing machine stops in the middle of a cycle. Simultaneously, the machine will stop heating, and the pump will continue to run. A defect with the electronic circuit board or a broken connection in the heating circuit is most likely to blame.
F08
This code, like the one before, indicates a heater malfunction, which will force the wash cycle to stop in the middle of the cycle.
F09
This code indicates that there is a problem with the software. You won’t be able to select a mode or start the washing machine.
F11
This code appears when your Whirlpool washing machine fails to pump water out of the drum, indicating a pump circuit issue.
F12
This error code denotes an electronic defect that prevents your device from turning on, but you’ll need to consult with a professional to figure out where the problem is.
F13
This error number is exclusive to Whirlpool washer-dryers and signals a temperature sensing problem with the dryer.
F15
When the water fails to heat up during a wash cycle, or there is no heat during the drying cycle, this error code will appear on Whirlpool washing machines or washer-dryers. It’s a sign that the heater control device isn’t working properly.
