In a recent video, Chris Terry taught the importance of letting go of past, negative experiences in order to plant new seeds of abundance. These teachings encourage you to forgive any wrongdoings and keep moving forward. It’s not always easy, but Chris teaches that if you learn to forgive anybody who that has caused a negative emotion, then the pain will ease, and you will begin to experience the joy that life offers.

What Is the Power of Forgiveness?

When you worry, you put mental energy towards something you don’t want. When you’re going through a difficult period in your life, the first thing to do is visit the phrase ” it is what it is.” The majority of what we experience comes from the environment, and most of the time, there isn’t much we can do about it. This may appear to be overly easy or even cold, but this is a defense mechanism for soothing your mind.

The Power of Forgiveness is the ability to release yourself from the negative emotions that you’ve been carrying around. This could be anger, resentment, bitterness, and especially hate.

When you forgive someone, it doesn’t mean what they did was okay. It means that you are releasing them from your thoughts and feelings about the situation so you can both move on. We appear to magnify and sensationalize most of our experiences in life. You can internalize and self-destruct or declare, “It is what it is.” Collect the good while forgiving the rest; know that life goes on.

When you look back on life, you’ll often realize it wasn’t that big of a deal most of the time. In general, nothing is usually as bad as it seems.

Steps for Eliminating Worry

Worry is negative goal-setting. Worry is thinking about what you DON’T want to happen. Worry causes the mind to be in a state of confusion. Chris Terry stated that when you’re in a low vibration or worried, your ability to think and rationalize often gets clouded. That alone should persuade you not to waste your time worrying. Worrying generates stress, leading to panic attacks and nervous breakdowns, and heart attacks.

The power of forgiveness works in conjunction with eliminating worry.  When you forgive someone, it sets both of you free. It’s a release of the negative energy that has been built up. This is how worry and resentment keep us trapped in the past.

Here are five steps to eliminating worry:

  1. Remember, it is what it is; harvest the good and forgive the rest.
  2. Our perception is almost always distorted whenever we are in it.
  3. Ask yourself, “what is the worst thing that could happen?”
  4. Prepare yourself and accept it.
  5. Calmly move towards improving the situation.

As spoken by Chris Terry, forgiveness opens up new possibilities for the future. It allows us to be more connected with others and creates compassion. When we are forgiving, it means that we no longer have any ill will towards that person. We can then move on from whatever happened without being held back by anger or bitterness.
